Help the Hammer family move in!

From Brother Trautman:

Saturday morning (June 16th) 8am, the Hammer families need help moving from one house to the other in Arbor Ridge, and moving stuff from storage in Meridian to the home in Arbor Ridge. Please email me back if you can help at Trautman6@msn.com Also, if you can call a friend in the Ward to come with you that would help also.  If you have a dolly we could borrow that may be helpful also.

Orchard service project tonight!

Come join us at the church orchard tonight. Meet at the church at 6:00 pm. We will be heading to the church orchard in Caldwell. We will receive a brief training as to how to complete our assignment. This will be a great opportunity to serve, learn about growing fruit trees, and rub elbows with others in the ward! Contact Bro. Thatcher if you have questions. See you there!

Caution: The orchard is next to a ditch, so small children need to be closely supervised (if brought).

Hand, Food, and Mouth Disease

Dear Parents,

We would like to inform you that Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease is going around our area. Three child from the nursery of another ward in our building has come down with it as well as one child from our nursery. We are doing our best to clean and sanitize the nursery rooms, including the toys.

Here is a description of the disease from the CDC:
"Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash." Signs and symptoms include: "Hand, foot, and mouth disease usually starts with a fever, poor appetite, a vague feeling of being unwell (malaise), and sore throat. One or 2 days after fever starts, painful sores usually develop in the mouth (herpangina). They begin as small red spots that blister and that often become ulcers. The sores are often in the back of the mouth. A skin rash develops over 1 to 2 days. The rash has flat or raised red spots, sometimes with blisters. The rash is usually on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet; it may also appear on the knees, elbows, buttocks or genital area."

Here is a link for more information. http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/signs-symptoms.html If your child has any signs or symptoms PLEAE DO NOT BRING them to nursery/primary until they are no longer contagious so that we can try to stop it from spreading further. Thank you for your understanding.

Just in case you missed it!

We got a new Relief Society Presidency yesterday! Welcome Sis. Wardell as our new president, and her counselors Sis. Wing and Sis. Higbee with Sis. Anderson as her secretary.  I have enjoyed serving you this past year. I loved working with the incredible sisters we have in the 10th Ward. The Lord has blessed me and allowed me to grow spiritually in ways I would never have imagined. I truly am going to miss you sisters and your families as we embark on our new adventure in Meridian. I love you and I know that Sis. Wardell will be an amazing Relief Society President.

Also a big thank you to Sis. Rasmussen, Sis. Stewart, and Sis. Hanson for the selfless service that they provided for our ward and especially me as a president.
Thank you!
Love,
Katie Christensen
